We will be implementing Quake 3 (ioquake) so that it can be played seamlessly on a current generation 3D-TV using a Pi. Theoretically, this should be possible. We're fairly certain that we'll have some trouble (otherwise this will be a quick project!).
The project will have a design/documentation area and an "active" area where current coding/installation issues are shown and discussed.
You will need a 512Mb Pi for Stereoscopic display, but 256Mb Pi owners should still be able to follow the project and run Quake non-stereoscopically. Edit: It's also theoretically possible for 256Mb pis to be able to run this stereoscopically, but slower. I was totally wrong about this. 256Mb Pis play the game stereoscopically just fine.
You will also need to connect your Pi to the internet. We are using Raspbian.
First up then, we'll be showing you how to aquire the source-code and build IoQuake. Next we'll be showing you how to get the data for the game. Finally we'll be looking deeper into the stereoscopic aspects.
